Geology / History
Lepidolite is a lilac-grey or rose-coloured member of the Mica group with the formula K(Li,Al,Rb)3(Al,Si)4O10(F,OH)2. It is a secondary source of lithium. Lepidolite is a phyllosilicate mineral & a member of the polylithionite-trilithionite series.
It is associated with other lithium-bearing minerals like spodumene in pegmatite bodies. One of the major sources of the rare alkali metalsrubidium & caesium.
Occurs in granite pegmatites, in some high-temperature quartz veins, greisens & granites. Associated minerals include Quartz, Feldspar, Spodumene, Amblygonite, Tourmaline, Columbite, Cassiterite, Topaz & Beryl.
Notable occurrences include Brazil, Russia, California, United States Canada & Madagascar.
Metaphysical Properties
Balances emotions by creating a space of light within the aura. This protects & purifies releasing any unwanted attachments & repelling negative energy. Excellent companion in times of stress. A fierce protector which also deflects EMF’s.
Place on or near computers. Boosts energy & the bodies ability to regenerate. Helps you to move forward. Stimulates intellect, speeds up decision making & increases concentration.
Crystal Healing
Stress, Emotional disorders, hormonal imbalance, nervous system disfunction & anxiety.
